Hiya!

So, I’m back home (Aruba!) for the Summer. That means I’m just enjoying my time relaxing and meeting up with friends. The only thing that really bugs me is my sudden awful laptop battery life. So actually using my laptop is a pain because of charger issues. However, there are times like these where I can actually use it and write up a post!

I was tagged by the awesome Morgan from MorganHayley for the Saturday on Wednesday tag. If you haven’t already checked out Morgan’s blog you definitely should. She’s so funny and strong, and also super friendly!

Well, this is scary accurate. This is me, so people can find me fairly easily.. Don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing? I think this is from my LinkedIn account.

• A picture of your favorite meal that makes you happy.

Bagels, pizza, and lasagna! Who doesn’t love these three unrelated foods?  I sure do! The picture of the bagel is from a place I go to quite often in the Netherlands. They serve the best bagels and I just cannot get enough! Especially with cream cheese or hummus! (YUM!) And the picture of the pizza and lasagna was taken in Aruba with my best friend. We basically shared the two because we love both dishes! (and not to mention that delicious garlic bread!)

Food in general makes me happy, though.. 

• Post your favorite silly animal photo

So here’s just an excuse to show you my pet hamster (my first ever real pet!). As you probably already know, hamsters can be a pain to take pictures of because they’re always on the move. This particular picture was taken when I had just gotten him. I thought he looked so funny with his food stuffed in his mouth and went to town on Snapchat, as you can see. Taking a picture WITH nacho, on the other hand, is a task that has not yet been fulfilled. 

 This other picture of the llama is one of my absolute favourites and always makes me smile!

• A silly selfie (if you’re comfortable with that)

See, the thing is my life is full of silly and stupid selfies, which are mostly through Snapchat. However, I don’t usually save those selfies because otherwise my phone would get jammed with all the dumb selfies I take on Snapchat with the purpose of engaging in conversation with friends.

This gem of a selfie was taken in the car on the way to my best friend’s Mehndi/Sangeet. I kind of got tired of taking a proper selfie and decided to change it up the series of selfies.  

• A picture of your favorite sunglasses.

I actually own only one pair of sunglasses so having a “favourite” would be irrelevant. 

So I searched some on Pinterest and seriously love these rosy babies!

• A picture of an object in your house/flat that always makes you smile

My hamster’s little home in my studio apartment! I always glance at it to check if he’s awake. 

• What was the last picture you took with your phone?

Well I guess this could have applied for a silly selfie? 

The Verbal

• A joke that you’ve heard recently that made you giggle?

Well, I haven’t heard a joke recently.. and even if I have, I just don’t remember. So, I decided to ask those around me if they know any jokes. Well, that turned into the joke.. One by one they sat in front of me to tell me the lamest jokes in the world! (And my brother was full of dark humour…)
I decided to ask my best friend, and she couldn’t help but tell the joke her husband is known for: There was a man ……. and …… he died. (A true Mrs. D!)
Ah well, so then I thought of a chemistry joke.. but I figured I wouldn’t get a reaction anyway. 

• What’s your go to pick-me-up phrase when you are feeling down

There’s this one quote that always gets me up when I’m feeling down. Since usually the reason for feeling down is overthinking, this quote really comes in handy:

• Your happy song?

I didn’t have to think twice about this one! Anytime this comes on my body automatically starts to move and I just can’t help but sing along! It’s so catchy and upbeat! 

• Your quirk that makes others smile?

Hmm, well my friends tell me I have a funny “dolphin” laugh. It’s honestly me catching my breath while laughing so hysterically that my laugh is completely silent. It usually ends in more laughs, haha! (Although in general, my laugh is pretty weird..) 

• What’s on your favorite mug?

I love this quote and the contents of the mug in this picture, haha! My other favourite mug has a colourful winking owl on it. Unfortunately no picture to share with you… 

• What’s the first happy memory that comes to mind?

Well, at this point is all the fun times I had on my best friend’s wedding (barely 2 weeks ago!). We went everywhere together that week (yep, her wedding basically lasted a week). We had loads of fun in all the chaos and even changed the lyrics of  I really like you by Carly Rae Jepsen to a slightly more relatable version considering the state our minds were in at 6AM after 2 days of events (and getting ready for an entire day of events!)

• What’s your favorite way of cheering others up?

I usually try to talk to the person and get their mind off of whatever is bringing them down by telling a funny story, cooking something for them or doing something fun like talking a walk in the park with ice cream. It usually depends on the person. 

• What’s your favorite funny website?

At the moment, it’s Twitter. I know it’s not a proper website but depending on who or which pages your following, your twitter feed can get pretty hilarious! 

• Do you know your heritage? IF so, what is it?

To my knowledge, my entire lineage is Indian. However, I’ve kind of changed that in my family..

• Best compliment you have received?

Hmm, I can’t really come up with anything.. but my friends do tell me that I’m funny and I make them laugh. That’s the best thing in the world! 

• What are  your favorite pizza toppings?

CHEESE, CHEESE, AND MORE CHEESE! (Although I’m a bit of a “goat” (as some call me) I love vegetables. So I either go for the veggie or Hawaiian! (ham and pineapple))
