Hi guys!
I have always wanted Urban Decay’s Naked palette. And now I finally am in the possession of my very first Naked palette! Thanks to my very lovely mommy who sent me a late Christmas present. She knows I’ve wanted it for so long and after going through the pit hole of disappointment in Miami when we couldn’t find a Sephora in the two days we were there I guess she knew what would make my day (especially since I spent Christmas break and all of January studying and writing papers).
They finally opened a little branch of Urban Decay in Aruba, unlike here in the Netherlands..
I honestly never thought I’d be so happy to get make-up as a present. I mean I used to be one of those girls who used to think lipgloss was gross and sticky and I basically always just stuck to eye-liner ’cause I was a bad-ass rocker chick. Or at least I tried to be..
Anyway! My mom decided to pop in a couple of MAC lipsticks as well! I am beyond happy with them.
I already know I love MAC lipsticks and these were no downer! Rebel is a beautiful dark berry colour, which I have wanted for a while now. I actually had a pretty purple berry lipstick by Dior, however, as fate would have it we had to part ways… Okay I know I’m being overly dramatic, but seriously, I lost it! I have no idea where I kept it. It kept changing its home from purse to purse to make-up bag and then one day it was gone. Since then I’ve wanted the perfect berry colour lipstick and I finally have it!
It’s not too dark but isn’t too light either. It’s a perfect in between, in my personal opinion of course. Its a beautiful matte consistency and I can’t wait to wear it more.
The other one is Mehr, which is a pink blush nude colour. My only nude colour which is Blushing Nude by Clinque is almost gone so I knew I had to get a new nude colour soon. I love dark and bold colours, but for an everyday look I prefer the nude colours more. Especially if I’m going to class and I feel like dressing up a little without looking too out of place.
It was difficult to get the colours right on camera but I think these pictures did the trick. I honestly thought Mehr would be too light for my skin tone, but it turned out just fine! More than fine actually. I find myself reaching out to this one more and more.
Here are the swatches:
And here is my Naked 1 palette!
My first impression of this palette was wow-za! How are these colours so pigmented? I recently bought a palette by L’oreal and it became my usual. But when I compare it to this one I really notice the quality difference. The ones in the Naked palette are so much creamier and pigmented. And the colours are so darn pretty!
I expected a little more from the make up brush, though. Maybe I’m just not using it right. I’ve got so much to learn!
The top of the palette is a smooth velvet, which I think is rather luxurious. Only its prone to getting dirty faster. It doesn’t fit in my travel make-up bag, so it’ll be tricky carrying it around with my when I travel. Understandable since there are so many shades in this.. Despite the packaging and all, the content is great!
This one is going up in my favourites right next to my old Sleek palette! I used to be scared of glittery eye shadows but I feel like I’m in a whole new world now.
My favourites until now are: Sin, Buck,Smog, and Hustle.
Here’s a look I created using this palette without any primer (excuse the brows) and I am by no means a professional, as you can see:
So if you have any feedback or tips, please do let me know in the comments below!
I can’t wait to make more looks with this palette! Since I’m a total noob, I’ll probably be on YouTube looking up tutorials half the time, haha.

I completely agree! I’ve heard UD’s Semi-sweet chocolate bar is also really good!
